Joseph A. Hogan, 50, of the Boggsville section of Sarver, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia in Cabot.

Joe was born Jan. 14, 1971, in Norfolk, Va., a son of the late Lola R. (Ruffner) and William J. Hogan.

Joe attended Freeport Area High School and was a 1989 graduate of Lenape Vo-Tech School, where he studied drafting and design. He received his associate degree in architecture at Pittsburgh Technical Institute. Joe worked as an independent industrial design contractor. Joe was a patron of the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival, where he met his wife. He enjoyed Japanese anime-style cartoons, was a huge Star Wars fan and enjoyed the Minion characters.

Joe is survived by his wife of five years, Melissa Kondrich-Hogan; his sister, Lynanne A. Hogan; brother, David A. Hogan; and niece, Angeline Jo "A.J." Palmer. He is also survived by cats, Selina and Mimi.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Kondrich.
