Indianapolis - John David Christopher, 59, Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at home March 2, 2021. John David was born August 25, 1961, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to the late Leroy Gray Christopher and Shirley Jean (McElyea) Christopher, who survives.

He graduated from Emmerich Manual High School, attended Lee College in Tennessee, Indiana University Bloomington, and graduated from Ivy Tech College. John had a strong work ethic, being employed at Riley Children's Hospital as a respiratory therapist for 37 years, he only missed six days of work. He was a longtime member of The Caring Place, where he sang in the choir, assisted with the counseling program, and served as a lay minister. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing, but was an extraordinary deer hunter. He will be fondly remembered by his loving family and friends.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mia; mother, Jean; brother, Dan; sister, Joanie Endicott; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 12 Noon - 1 p.m., Saturday, March 6, 2021, at The Caring Place, 2901 N. Post Road, Indianapolis, IN 46219.
