Theresa M. Johnson, 83, of Granville, died at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton on March 15, 2021.
A Celebration of Life will be 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 25, in the Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with Rev. Solomon Sudhakar, Pastor of Grace United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Windridge Memorial Park in Cary, Illinois.
Theresa was born in Grayslake on July 8, 1937, to Anthony and Florence (Etten) Hertel. She married Julius Kinast in 1964. He died in 1987. She then married Jim Johnson in 1998 and he died in 2001. Theresa worked at Help at Home in Ottawa. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She enjoyed needlepoint and watching Jeopardy. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in La Salle.
Theresa is survived by one daughter Janet (David) Thoms of Peru; three grandchildren Jennifer, Michelle, and Sidney; one sister Florence (Robert) Clark; and two brothers Alfred (Kay) Hertel and Albert (Carol) Hertel.
