John B. was the son of Samuel Westcott and Rhoda Burwell Angleo. He married Ada Rachel Kimberley 9 Jan 1876 in Jasper County, Iowa. They had a son Wyatt B. 1876.

THE MAXWELL TRIBUNE, Maxwell, Iowa, Thursday, January 12, 1922, page 1, column 2. "J. B. ANGELO PASSES AWAY. - John B. Angelo, pioneer resident and one of the community's prominent and respected citizens, passed away Tuesday afternoon after an illness of nearly six months. Mr. Angelo has been justice of the peace in Indian Creek township for many years and was mayor of Maxwell several years ago. He is survived by his wife and one son, Wyatt, of Wilwaukee,** Wis. Funeral services will be held from the Maxwell Church of Christ Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock and the remains will be buried in the Peoria cemetery." **Editorial note - should probably be Milwaukee, Wis.
