Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, William "Bill" McKinlay, 86, passed away October 15, 2007 in Richfield, Utah, surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born to Archibald and Louiette Stevens McKinlay, September 10,1921 in Newdale, Idaho. He married Lois Montgomery, February 14, 1942 in the Manti LDS Temple.

Bill served in the Army during WWII as an airborne radar repairman in the Pacific. He got his pilot's license following the war. After his military service, Bill owned and operated McKinlay Chevrolet in Richfield with his father and brother. After he sold the dealership in 1988, he continued to work until his retirement in 2001.

Bill had a zest for life and never allowed himself to grow old. He loved to use his cell phone, surf the internet, and take pictures with his digital camera. He was a fisherman, and avid Jazz fan, an (almost) good golfer and kept a beautiful flower garden. He was a gentle man who was always full of joy. He was truly loved by all who knew him.

Bill is survived by his wife, Lois, Richfield; sons, Brent (Alicia) McKinlay, William Allen McKinlay, both of Richfield, Scott (Cecelia) McKinlay of Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2007 in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery, with Military
Rites
