The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Buck Creek Methodist Church, with the Revs. Scott Mancel and Don Proctor officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Beard, a native of Screven County, was a presser with White Stag, with 22 years of service. She was a member of Buck Creek Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Doug Beard Jr.; a son, Dan Beard III, Glenwood; a daughter, Margaret B. Hodges, Portal; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charles Scott, Ellery Busbee, Jimmy Busbee, Russell Busbee, Jeff Wells and Robert Gordy.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Inc.
