GRANGER, IN -

Ann Marie Sullivan, 66, passed away on March 12, 2021 at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH. Ann was born on July 6, 1954 in Elizabethtown, PA, to Thomas Frederick and Leona Ester (Shaffstall) Lane. Ann is survived by her husband, Michael O. Sullivan, whom she married on December 31, 1990 in Granger, IN.

Ann retired from the South Bend Medical Foundation in 2017, after 27 years of service as chief financial officer. Ann was a certified public accountant as well as a past president of the Indiana chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. She had been employed in the financial administration sector in medicine for 39 years.

In addition to her husband, Michael Sullivan, Ann is survived by sons, Ryan M. Faist of South Bend, IN, Connor Sullivan and partner Alan Sobieralski of South Bend, and Alexander T. Sullivan of Granger, IN. Ann was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Joseph Cole Sullivan.

Ann moved to Ohio with her family in 1959, where they lived for six years before her family relocated to Niles, MI, where she graduated from Niles High School in 1972. She graduated from Indiana University South Bend in May 1976 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Ann worked for Osteopathic Hospital and Memorial Hospital, prior to her service at South Bend Medical Foundation.

Ann will always be remembered for her compassion and honesty with all who worked with her. There was nothing she would not do for those she cared about. Time and time again, she welcomed into her home, people who had nowhere else to turn, offering the kind of unconditional love that turned sadness into hope. She made the world a better place every day by putting others before herself. The world is a little poorer with her passing. She will be forever missed, always cherished, and eternally loved.

Funeral services for Ann will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN. Pastor Ken Peterson will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00-2:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
