Patricia “Pattie” (Hudgins) Patton, 68 of Parkman Township, Ohio, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 at Hillcrest Hospital. She was born on May 7, 1952 in Williamsburg, Virginia, daughter of John Noble Hudgins and Alma (Wilkins) Hudgins. After graduating from York High School in Yorktown, VA, she attended the College of William and Mary and she received her Bachelor’s degree in Education in 1974.

Pattie married John S. Patton on July 5, 1975, and they moved to Ohio where they started their family. They worked side by side at Patton Pest Control for 45 years. A true southerner, when it once snowed in May, she informed her husband that if it ever snowed in June, she would move the family back to Virginia, striking quite the funny bone within the family. Thankfully, that never happened, and they enjoyed raising their family in Parkman, Ohio. She was a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Nelson United Methodist Church and former member of the United Methodist Church in Middlefield.

Pattie always appreciated life with a quiet and loving sense of humor. She was a loving mother and wife, who lived for her children, grandchildren, and grand animals. She loved the theatre, family vacations, shopping and being the advocate for the family. She was always active with the school, the church, and the community. She was a woman who touched many hearts and will be missed dearly.

Pattie is survived by her beloved husband John of 45 years, her loving daughters Jennifer (Jeffrey) Ker of Brentwood, TN, Molly (Michael) Marsh of Auburn Twp., OH, and Mary Patton of Parkman Twp., OH, her five grandchildren Reagan, Colin, and Hudson Ker, and Michael and Matthew Marsh, her brother-in-law H. Douglas Jahn, nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and her many grand animals. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother John T. Hudgins and sister-in-law Cynthia P. Jahn.

Calling hours will be held at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 West High St., Middlefield on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 PM and Saturday 12:00 PM until the Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Overlook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nelson United Methodist Church, PO Box 210, Garrettsville, OH 44231. Condolence and memories may be shared at www.slyffh.com
