On Nov. 9, 1938 in Birmingham, AL a daughter was born to the late Lee and Ida Bell, whom they named Rebecca Bell. On Friday, Jan. 8, 2021, she transitioned to her eternal life. She attended Asbury Evangelical Chapel and worked at Consolidated Laundry for 37 years. She served as a Kindergarten Teacher, a Sunday School Teacher and a Trustee.
She married Joseph Robinson on Dec. 29, 1958 and in the union they had five children. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Robinson, her father and mother Lee and Ida Bell, three sisters Carrie, Rosa and Viola as well as Frank and Willie Mack Bell.
She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters Gwendolyn (Paul) Apperton Virginia Beach, VA, Kathy (Floyd) Ferguson Hephzibah, GA, Cynthia (Michael) Bacon, Neptune, NJ, two sons Joseph Robinson, Jr. Lakeland, FL, Teon (Stephanie) Robinson, Augusta, GA, four sisters, Hattie Merriweather Chicago, IL, Mary (Richard) Burks, Dorothy (Willie) Johnson, Neptune, NJ, Carol (Timothy) Paul, Hueytown, AL, her brother Lee (Jeanette) Bell, Lakeland, FL and Benton Robinson, her sister-in-law, Norma (James) Turner, Simpsonville, SC and sister-in-law Emma Murrell 22 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
