On a Summer, Wednesday morning, a beautiful baby girl was born to the parents of Walter Eugene Taylor and Annie Mae Webb Taylor in Fort Worth, Texas. They named her Ruthie Nell Taylor. At an earlier age, she attended Catholic School, followed by James E. Guinn and I.M. Terrell High School. She fell in Love with Colonel Leonard Wilson and they were united in holy matrimony in 1957. They were happily married until his passing in 1989.

Mother Wilson was a very happy person that never met a stranger. She was quick to help anyone. She often celebrated others by using her gift of cooking and provided delicious meals. She babysat over 100 children, making a difference in each child's life. Each child felt love and often preferred her cooking more than eating at home. Mother Wilson was a faithful member of Forest Hill Missionary Baptist Church and joined under the membership of the Late Reverend A.A. Jackson, Jr. in 1987. She remained at Forest Hill under the Leadership of Pastor Stephan Freeman. Under his leadership she received the Emma Howard Living Legend Award in 2018. Mother Wilson was a member of International Free & Accepted Modern Masons, Inc. & Order Of The Eastern Star. She served as a Chapter Recording and Correspondent Secretary.

Preceding her in death, are her parents, Walter & Annie Taylor, four sisters, Maurine McIntire, Betty Clark, Carrie Cyrus, Mae Foster Little and three brothers, Walter Eugene Taylor, Jr. Alex Ray Taylor and Frank Taylor.

Mother Wilson was more than a mother, sh was a sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend.
