Mary married William (Bill) Roberts on July 4, 1974 and they have been together for over 50 years. Mary earned her BA in Early Childhood Education from University of North Carolina-Charlotte where she graduated with honors. She spent her career in education, retiring from the Rowan-Salisbury School System, where she loved working with preschool and special needs children. Through the years, she also worked with children with various churches where she attended. She also served with her husband and her sons in India during 1988-1989. She loved her family and lived a life of service to others. Her life was one lived to serve the Lord in all she did.
Those left to cherish and treasure her memory are her loving husband of 47 years, Bill and her two sons, Jason (Kimberly) and granddaughter, Quinn and Neal (Beth) and granddaughters, Aubrey, Sarah, Carly and Hannah. She also leaves behind her two sisters, Carlette Phillips (Roger) and Jane Edwards (Jeff), as well as numerous nieces and nephews who all loved their Aunt Mary.
Visitation for Mary will be on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 1:00 – 2:00pm at The Brook Church. Funeral service will follow at 2:00pm officiated by Pastor Jon Harless and Dr. Paul Gupta. Interment will be at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove immediately after her service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested you kindly remember Mary with memorials in her honor to the ministry of HBI Global Partners at www.hbiglobalpartners.org in Chenai, S.
