John Wayne Crowley, 74, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 15, 2021.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Ingleside Baptist Church with Dr. Mark Hudgins officiating. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Face mask and social distancing are required to be in attendance.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 S.E. 1st St., Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.

Wayne was born in Macon, Georgia to the late John Troupe Crowley, Jr. and Edith Patisaul Crowley.

He was a graduate of Lanier High School, Mercer University and Walter F. George School of Law. Wayne was President of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity at Mercer University, a member of Scabbard and Blade Military Honor Society, Blue Key National Honor Fraternity and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity at Mercer.

He served his country in the United States Army earning rank of Captain and receiving an Honorable Discharge.

He practiced law for forty-eight years with Bush, Crowley and Leverett and most recently was of Counsel with Bloodworth, Crowley and Leverett.

Wayne was a former member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and member of Ingleside Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for over forty-seven years. Twenty-three of those years were with the Bowman Crowley class at Ingleside Baptist Church. He was an ordained deacon and served on numerous committees.

He was a member of the Exchange Club and Sertoma Club and was an avid Georgia Football fan.

Wayne was a devoted and loving husband, brother, uncle and friend.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Karen Logan Crowley of Macon, sister, Carol Crowley (Kevin) Grady of Johns Creek, GA, sister-in-law, Laurel (Ian) Tinney of Berthoud, CO, nieces and nephews,Bryan (Jenny) Owen of Asheville, NC, Cindy (Mark) Keen of Burke, VA, Dathan Tinney and Jared Tinney of Berthoud, CO, great nieces and nephew, Madison Keen, Caitlin Keen, Ava Owen and River Owen.
