Patti is survived by her amazing, beautiful daughter Sally. She was blessed to raise Sally on her own, and they shared an incredible bond. They shared a love of travel, outdoors, and animals. Piper, Ringo, Cornflake and Oliver will also miss her
She is also survived by her brother Skip, sisters Karen, Debbie and Janet, and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father Lauren and her mother Mary “Boots” Shaw. Patti had a special bond with Boots, who was her biggest champion.
Patti grew up in Paddock Forest neighborhood in North County where she met her lifelong friends Scott, Tim, John, John O. and Steve. Along the way she gathered more friends and stayed true to all of us. Angel, Kim, Kathy, Becky, Alan, Karen, Jim, Paula, Donna, and Tom, Christy, Sherry. It’s funny. We all each thought she was our best friend. And she was.
She had an interesting and challenging career in Visual Merchandising, was a Regional Cosmetics Coordinator for Dillard’s, and could bartend with the best of them.
She was a light, a powerful force of nature, an independent tough cookie.
She will be so dearly missed.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
