GREENDALE - God welcomed home Richard ‘Dick’ Robert Hart on March 14, 2021 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Dick lived his life with generosity, devotion, faith, and an outpouring of selfless love for family, friends and neighbors. He spent his life focused on what matters most; family. He was always there whenever someone needed help, and could make the grumpiest of people smile with dad jokes.

Dick worked for the US Forest Service for 45 years. The best memories he shared always included times when he could help others. He took pride in his leadership with the union and helping colleagues.

What mattered most to Dick was his family. He treasured his 6 grandchil- dren and always brought joy and giggles whenever he visited with them. He loved fishing and golfing with his sons, and loved the time he spent with his daughter, talking over coffee every week.

Dick loved his community of Greendale, and was active in Toastmasters for several years. He shared his beautiful voice through singing in the St. Alphonsus choir for the past 25 years. Dick also loved traveling with his wife, Denise, enjoying cruises and visits to the beach over the years. He enjoyed walking his dog, Casey and chatting with neighbors each day.

Dick is preceded in death by his mother, Maxine, father, Robert, and step- mother Esther Hart. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Denise, along with his children Christine (Pete) Adams, Erik (Nicole), and Jonathan (Tiffni) Hart. His memories and love will live on through his sisters Deb Klecker and Linda Heebsh, along with grandchildren Abbi, Dean, Quinn, Brooke, Nathan, and Avery. He also was loved deeply by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends throughout his life. Dick’s faith in God and generosity for others will never be forgotten. His humor, gentleness, patience, devotion, love and neverending kindness will live on in our memories until we meet again.

Dick’s celebration of life will be held on Thursday March 18, 2021 from 9 until 11 am at the Max A. Sass & Sons Greenridge Chapel. Family and friends will meet at St. Alphonsus Church (6060 W. Loomis Road, Greendale) for Mass of Christian Burial at 12 pm. Private interment Wisconsin Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Alphonsus Church appreciated.
