Dottie is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Marie Baker (Steve) of Chesapeake and Patricia M. Willoughby (Butch) of Portsmouth; two sons, James T. Murray, Jr. (Beth) of Maryland, and Michael F. Murray (Chris) of California; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Stephanie Murray; several nieces and nephews; and her grand pups, Riley, Scrappy and Luna.
She is predeceased by her father, Dare W. Robinson, Sr.; mother, Margaret Sunstrom Sabbatini; stepfather, Ford Sabbatini; brother, Dare W. Robinson, Jr.
Dottie graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in nursing from DePaul Hospital in 1950. She was a registered nurse until her retirement from Maryview Hospital in January 1986. She was a teacher at the school of nursing at Maryview and influenced many, including family members, to pursue the nursing profession.
Dottie was nurturing, caring, always there if you needed a shoulder to lean on. She dedicated her life, along with her husband, to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Friday, March 19, 2021 at the Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, Suffolk.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be offered to the American Diabetes Association or the American Alzheimer’s Association.
