On April 14, 1900, near Oakland Mills, PA, at the home of his son Lucian, John Auker, aged 77 years, 7 months, and 14 days. Funeral on April 17. Services were conducted at the house by William Graybill and Samuel Leyder. After which the remains were taken to the Pfoutz Valley family graveyard. His companion and one son died some years ago. He was a faithful member of the Mennonite Church and had spent many years in laboring for Christ, who has now called him to rest.
