Joseph ‘Joe’ Andras - September 1, 1931 – November 19, 2020

Peacefully on November 19, 2020 Joseph Andras passed away.
Joseph “Joe” Andras journey started September 1, 1931, in Bowden, AB. Joe was the oldest of six children.

At a young age he was a butcher to earn his keep on a family friend’s farm. As a young man he embarked on a journey that took him to Uranium City, SK.
After a work place accident in the mine he returned to Red Deer, AB.

Discovered a new vocation in life as a truck driver. Beginning at Harry Fisher transporting Central Alberta Dairy Pool Products. By the time his professional driving career had ended, Joe had accumulated over 2 million miles all over Western Canada and the Northwestern, USA.

Joe and Francis met at a wedding in October 1957, after a whirlwind courtship they were married on June 7, 1958. Ross arrived December 28, 1962. Then soon followed Shelly November 18, 1964. Add in a few dogs along the way and their family was complete.

Joe’s first passions were golfing, bowling, camping, fishing and an avid outdoorsman. Joe and Francis would spend Christmas with the family and then they were snowbirds in Palm Desert.

Joe is survived by his son; Ross (Ruth) Andras; daughter; Shelly (Dan) Morrison, grandchildren; Logan, Halie (Brendan), Kellen and Bree, siblings; Alice Andras, Barb Johnson, Al (Andrea) Suba, Marg Kelly and Steve (Dale) Suba.

Joe is predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years Francis Andras, father; Julius Andras, mother; Helen Suba, brother; Julius Andras, and numerous brothers and sisters in-law.
Joe was laid to rest with his love Francis in a beautiful private family ceremony at the Bergen Cemetery, Bergen, AB.
