TERRY LORRAINE FRANKLIN~
Terry Lorraine Franklin was born September 21, 1966. She was the fifth child born to the late Jodie and Lillie Hughes Franklin. She made her peaceful transition into heaven on August 7, 2015.
Terry was preceded in death by her brother Kalvin Franklin, Sr. and her sister Linda Faye Franklin.
Terry received Christ at an early age and joined Shady Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Dr. James C. Matthews, where she served as a faithful member. She continued to serve as a faithful member under the leadership of Rev. James E. Morris. In 2011, she relocated to Philadelphia, PA and united with Canaan Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Derick Brennan until the time of her death.
Terry received her education in the Jackson Public School District, where she attended G.N. Smith Elementary, Brinkley Jr. High School and graduated with the Class of 1984 from Murrah High School. She attended Alcorn State University and Mississippi College.
Terry had a strong dedicated compassion for working with children. She began her career in elementary education with the Jackson Public School District as a teacher assistant. She worked as a teacher for the Center for Family Life Developmental Learning Center in Jackson, MS. After relocating to Philadelphia, PA, she continued her career in education with Acclaim Academy until her death.
O n October 21, 1992, Terry was blessed with a son, Jonathon Jerrell Watson. On July 22, 2001, she was united in holy matrimony to Premal Younger and to this union one daughter was born Preonna Terriany Younger.
Terry leaves to cherish her memories, a son Jonathon Watson of Houston, TX; a daughter, Preonna Younger, Philadelphia, PA; a loving mother Lillie Hughes Franklin, one brother Joel (Jeanette) Franklin all of Austin, TX; one sister Vanessa (Leonard) Khayyam of Jackson, MS; two God sisters Renata Brooks of Philadelphia, PA; Robin Terrell-Evans of Jackson, MS; one sister in law Evette Taylor Franklin of Atlanta, GA; six nieces, seven nephews, three great nieces and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
