Benny Mack Campbell, age 85 passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 14, 2021.
Mr. Campbell was born in Blount County, Alabama on the 22nd of May, 1935 to the late Selmer and Stella McWhorter Campbell.
Mr. Campbell was a 1953 graduate of Arab High School. He retired from the US Army Missile Command at Redstone Arsenal after 37 years of service. Before his illness, he was an active member of the Arab Historical Society and the Arab Senior Center. He was a member of Gilliam Springs Baptist Church.
Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his beloved parents Selmer and Stella McWhorter Campbell and brother, Hugh A. Campbell.
Mr. Campbell is survived by the mother of his children, Violet Faye Campbell, sons Richard Campbell (Joanne), Jack Campbell (Luann), Jonathan Campbell (Pam), daughter Jennifer Campbell, grandchildren Tiffany Loftis (Frank), Taylor Campbell, Brigett Payne (Jonathan), Brody Campbell (Amy), Betsy Campbell, Michael Campbell (Whitney), Dillon Campbell (Jenny), Andrew Fortner (Kelsey), great-grandchildren Campbell Loftis, Kathryn Loftis, Annie Payne, Levi Payne, Jase Campbell, Bennett Campbell, MaKinley Campbell, Knox Fortner, Pierce Fortner, brother Kenneth Campbell, many nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
Graveside services with be held Tuesday, March 16th at 4:00 p.m. at Gilliam Springs Cemetery with Bro. Max Roden and Bro. Andrew Fortner officiating.
Pall bearers will be Taylor Campbell, Brody Campbell, Michael Campbell, Dillon Campbell, Andrew Fortner, and Frank Loftis.
