Regina (Jean) C. Parker-Runkle, 83, of Spring Grove, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at UPMC Memorial, York.

Born August 20, 1937 in Cumberland, MD, she was a daughter of the late Oscar Lee and Ida V. (Johnson) Rice.

She was a bartender and cook at the American Legion in Hanover for over 20 years and worked at the Famous Hot Weiner after retiring from Martin’s Potato Chip. She was an avid animal lover, enjoyed fishing and loved time spent with her family most. She was a member of the American Legion Post 14, lifetime member at the Eagles Post 1406 and Hanover Home Association.

Regina is survived by four children, Jeffrey Lee Parker of Spring Grove, Teresa C. Zumbrum-Leese of Hanover, Joseph Parker and his wife Tina of Spring Grove, Craig Parker of Spring Grove; two brothers, Marshall Rice and his wife Carol of Marydel, DE, Ricky Rice and his wife Cindy of Hanover; a niece, Donna Hoffman of Millersville, MD; 15 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and many loving extended family members and dear friends.

In addition to her parents, Regina was preceded in death by an infant son, Randy Parker, an adult son, Elvin Ray Parker, a grandson, Timmy Bolen and several brothers and sisters.

A service to celebrate the life of Regina will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2021 at the with Rev. Kevin D. Orewiler officiating. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jefferson Cemetery, Spring Grove. Pallbearers will be; Ricky Rice, Craig Parker, Kevin Zumbrum, Cody Parker, Joe Kling and Tre Nassar.
