Born May 26, 1948 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Myles and Mary (Reed) Swartley.

Surviving with her husband are her children, Mary Jo Siuta (Jeff) of Coopersburg, April Tinneny (Don) of Gilbertsville, Joseph M. Vogel (Teresa) of Hatfield, and Cheryl Stout (Pete) of Gilbertsville; grandchildren, Madilyn, Paige, James, Zoe, Mia, Grace, William, Reagan, Lauren, Ava and brother, Myles Swartley Jr. (Lori) Pennsburg.
