BRISTOL, IN. -- Jean Carol Green, age 86, of Bristol passed away at her home on Friday, March 12, 2021. Jean was born on March 22, 1934 in Gibsonton, FL to Arthur and Hattie Wiesman. She married Ronald D. Green on December 8, 1951 in Elkhart.

Jean worked at family services in Elkhart, where she ran a home program for the welfare department for 8 years. She was an active member at Bristol United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the choir and a mission chairman. She was also a former member of the Merry Red Hatters in Bristol. She and her husband were foster parents for 8 years. She was a wonderful mom, grandma, great-grandma and great-great-grandma.

Jean is survived by her children, Brenda (Floyd) Mowry of Crown Point, IN., Ellen (John) Andrews of Trenton, FL., Karen Green of Mishawaka, IN., son-in-law, Derrick Jackson of Elkhart, foster son, Kent Sullivan; 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great- grandson.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter, Judy Jackson and her brothers, Earl Wiesman and Ronald Wiesman

A celebration of life service will be held from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Bristol United Methodist Church, 201 South Division Street, Bristol, IN 46507 where her service will be at 1pm with Pastor Gary Lewis officiating.

Donations may be made to Bristol United Methodist Church to benefit the Zambia Orphanage.
