He had previously served in the air force and was a retired repairman from General Electric. He enjoyed making music, working puzzles, and working outside in his garden.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Martha Brown Butler; brother Bill Ed Butler; and sisters Patsy Carwile, Mary Alice Allgeier, & Esther Sue "Toto" Butler.
He is survived by his partner Betty Wilson; children Daniel Butler and Marisa Horak; grandson Liam Butler; and a host of brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
In keeping with the wishes of Tom, the family has chosen cremation with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
