Tara Renee Parker, 54, died March 13, 2021, with her family by her side. Tara was born June 14, 1966, in Troy, Al., to A.C. Parker and Marie Harden Parker. A funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. followed by a graveside service at Pioneer Cemetery.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Graham, and their Voices of the Heart Choir, and Graham Kiwanis Aktion Club where she served a term as president. She attended Day Habilitation Services at Helen Farabee Center of Graham where she enjoyed spending time with the staff and her friends. She participated in Special Olympics competitions and was awarded the Female Athlete of the Year in 2015.
Tara was a social butterfly with many family and friends, and she will be dearly missed by all.
Survivors include sister Glenda Shupp of Graham, Tx., Deborah Screws of Phenix City, Al., Taynia Parker and fiancée Craig Washington of Longview, Tx., Donna and husband Mike Bergeron of Ozark, Al., brother Larry Bundrick and wife Donna of Graham, Tx., along with several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made the Voices of the Heart Choir at First Baptist Church.
