She was born the fourth and youngest daughter of Joe and Louella Wright Cole. The family farmed in Poynor, Texas until moving to Ft. Worth to assist with the war effort. Janice was extremely skilled in the culinary and horticultural arts, enjoyed card games with family and square dancing with her husband. She cherished retail therapy experiences with her three granddaughters, who she ensured were always best dressed at Easter services and back-to-school. She found contentment gazing at the tranquility of the lake from her deck.
