Mrs. Susan Schmitz, 87, of 502 River Road, in the Town of Byron, died at 9 p.m. Monday at her home.
She was born Aug. 22, 1886, at St. Cloud, the daughter of Adolph and Anna Meyer Lisowe. She was married to Peter A. Schmitz on Sept. 12, 1911, at St. Cloud, and he died Dec. 23, 1945.
Mrs. Schmitz was a member of St. Mary’s Church and Altar Society.
Survivors include two sons, Adolph and Herbert both of River Road in te Town of Byron; a daughter, Mrs. Stephen V. Lewis of River Road in the Town of Byron; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Eight brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at Zacherl Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mar’s Church. The Rev. Ernest O. Dreher will officiate and burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation for Mrs. Schmitz will be after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
