James Bagwell, Retired Merchant, Expires At Home
James G. Bagwell, 88, retired merchant and farmer of Allensville, died Monday, Jan. 25, at his home. He had been in ill health for the past few years.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, at Cook-Webb Funeral Home, Guthrie, with the Rev. Clancy Barnes, pastor of Allensville Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Belmont Cemetery, Allensville.
Mr. Bagwell was born April 4, 1876, in Montgomery County, Tenn., son of the late Rev. Nicholas Eugene and Emma Patrick Bagwell. He was married in 1901 to Laura Warfield who died in 1922. In 1926, he married Miss Nora Coleman, Allensville. He was a member of Allensville Methodist Church.
Survivors besides his widow are two daughters, Miss Cora Bagwell, Allensville, and Mrs. Frank Wahrman, Denison, Ia.; a grandson, William Wahrman, Denison, and three great-grandchildren.
