Funeral for Baptist Pastor
Funeral services for William T. Vaden, 88, widely known Baptist minister of Austonio, were held Friday morning at the Monticello church near Austonio, with the Rev. Lem Jeffus officiating. He died Wednesday at his home after a lingering illness. The body was taken to his former home near Gatesville for burial Saturday.
A native of Stonewall, Tennessee, Mr. Vaden came to Texas fifty-eight years ago. He lived in Madison County for two years, near Gatesville for five years and in Houston County fifty-one years.
Survivors include his wife, four sons, Frank L., Joseph A., and William T. Vaden Jr., all of Houston County, and Virgil Vaden of Kirbyville.
