Jo Reed lived a life filled with faith in God and devotion to her family. She was born into a large family on a farm in Eddy, Texas with 7 sisters and 1 bother. She was married on February 24, 1950 at the age of 17 to Glenn R Reed of Houston. They were married for 66 years until she was widowed on February 29, 2016. They had 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Christ called Jo to her heavenly home on Feb 18, 2021 at the age of 88 years, 1 month and 3 days.

Jo always dressed impeccably. She learned to sew when she was young so she could make clothes for herself and family. She became an accomplished seamstress. She liked to whistle around the house when she was happy. With her natural born kind nature, she had the special ability to comfort and take care of others. Even when her health was failing, her primary concern was for her children.

Her example as a loving wife and mother is an inspiration to all who knew her. Words cannot express how much she was loved or how much she will be missed here on earth, but we know she is in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, 2/25/21, in the chapel at the the Southpark Funeral Home located at 1310 North Main (highway 35) in Pearland, Tx. Jo will be laid to rest immediately following the service.
