Dawn Lynn Norman, 53, of Battle Creek passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
The family will have a celebration of Dawn’s life at a later date. She will be laid to rest at Knauss Cemetery after cremation. The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Dawn was born May 25, 1965 to James and Phyllis (Dingman) Norman in Battle Creek. She was a determined young lady, a 1990 graduate of Battle Creek Central. She worked in cleaning for many years before becoming a food preparer at McCalmly Place. Dawn later had to leave the work force due to health concerns.
Dawn had many interests including doing crafts, playing games, and coloring, especially with her favorite color blue. She had a great memory for important dates in her family, always remembering birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. Dawn always had a big smile for everyone. She was a big fan of “Pooh Bear” and cats. Dawn will be remembered for her sweet and trusting personality.
Dawn is survived by her parents Jim and Paula Norman of Coldwater; her siblings Darlene Norman of Iowa, Jodi (Mark) Cross of Hallsville, TX, and Parri Norman of Coldwater; her grandparents Richard and Jane Campbell of Battle Creek, many aunts & uncles and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother James Norman, II in 1988.
