BANKS, Florence Greenwood, 90, died peacefully at home June 2, 2018. She is survived by Paul Philips Banks, her husband of 70 years; sons, Paul David Banks and Richard Allan Banks; and daughter, Carol Louise Banks; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isabel and Malcolm Greenwood; her sisters, Ethel Greenwood Pitts and Sally Greenwood Bennett; and her son, James Edward Banks. In addition to being a full-time homemaker, she was an Avon representative for 38 years, during which time she won many awards and accolades, as well as appreciation from her customers. She was a member of Bethany Christian Church for 59 years. Memorial service takes place on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Bethany Christian Church, 5400 Forest Hill Avenue, preceded by visitation beginning at 12 p.m. The family is extremely grateful to the many wonderful and kind nurses and aides from several home health care and hospice agencies, who provided such compassionate care during the past year.
