Patrick A. "Pat" Porter, 71, of Green River, Wyoming, passed away on July 19, 2015 at his home following a brief illness.
He was born on December 31, 1943 in Rock Springs, Wyoming,
Pat was a longtime resident of Green River, Wyoming and former resident of Superior, Wyoming. He attended schools in Superior, Wyoming and graduated from Superior High School with the Class of 1962.
He married Theda A. "Sue" Walker in Riverton, Wyoming on April 8, 1996. He worked as an underground machine operator for TaTa Chemicals until his retirement in 2001.
Pat loved visits and phone calls from his family members. He enjoyed fishing, hunting , Nascar, working in his yard and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Kimball Porter, Sr. and Ella Otillia Kampman; one sister, Rebecca Wood; and one step-son, Michael McTee.
Pat is survived by his wife, Theda "Sue" Porter of Green River; two sons, Greg Porter (Jeni) of Sterling, CO and Chad Porter of Riverton; one daughter, Wendy Treat (Terry) of Cheyenne; two step-sons, Joe McTee (Linda) of Aurora, CO and John McTee (Rebecca) of West Valley, UT; fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three brothers: Harry Porter (Perline) of Layton, UT, Dave Porter (Patti) of Larkspur, CO, and Jim Thomas (Dubie) of Quinlan, TX; three sisters: Sue Zueck (Frank) of Morgan, UT, Lu Robison (Skip) of Ft. Bridger, and Linda Phillips (Jim) of Layton, UT; and several nephews and nieces.
The memorial services will be held in the Vase Funeral Chapel, 154 Elk Street, Rock Springs, Wyoming. The cremation services will happen simultaneously.
