Survivors include his wife, Ada Drury Maddox; a son, James L. Maddox of Mercer County; four daughters, Nancy Royalty, Effie Royalty, Mary Catherine White and Mary Marie Bottoms, all of Harrodsburg; two half brothers, Roosevelt Watts of Lawrenceburg and George Watts of Perryville; and 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Monday at Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home by Dr. Robert DeFoor. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery. Visitation is after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
