Terry Dee Richardson, 61, of Elk Creek, died Friday, the 12th day of March, 2021, at his residence. Born in Shelby County, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Louise Frances Champion Richardson. A hard worker, he was employed in the packaging department at Purnell’s Sausage for twenty-eight years and operated his own lawn care business on the weekends. He was an enthusiastic University of Kentucky Wildcat fan and enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, and spending with time with his prides and joys, his grandchildren.
His survivors include his wife of over sixteen years, Kim Thompson Richardson of Elk Creek; his daughters, Sarah Wright and her husband, Jason, of Stamping Ground, Hannah Vera and her husband, Martin, of Georgetown, and Rachel Richardson of Georgetown; his brother, Earl Murphy and his wife, Regina, of Chrisney, Indiana; his sister, Frances Richardson Sweeney and her husband, Bill, of Fairfield; and his eight grandchildren, Jandalyin, Lillian, Corbin, Damion, Preston, Mason, Luca, and Karson.
Private funeral services will be conducted at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Taylorsville with the Reverend Chad Goodlett officiating. Interment will be in Valley Cemetery.
