Sharon Marie Green, 65 of Independence, MO passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021 at her residence. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2021 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family will greet friends from 12:00 p.m., until service time Friday at the chapel. Sharon was born August 22, 1955 in Kansas City, MO to Jack L. and Mary Ann (Troya) Cordray and has been a longtime area resident graduating from Northeast High School in 1973. She had worked for 25 years at Grainger Supply until she retired in 2010 as a senior administrative assistant. She enjoyed photography and restoring old photographs. She was married to Marcus A. Green on June 12, 1981 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sharon was baptized in the Catholic Church then renewed her Faith through her husband as a born-again Christian. She was one of kind, Strong, Beautiful, Compassionate, Loving, Patient & Loyal. She was loved by so many and had so much love to give. Sherri left footprints in so many people’s lives. She was a mother figure to many. She loved being a Wife, Mother and especially a Nana to her 3 grandchildren. Jaden, Ethan, and Naomi they were her entire world. She will be forever & deeply missed by so many. She was survived by: Husband, Marcus Green; Daughter, Marie Nicole Melissinas; Mother, Mary Ann Cordray; Brothers, Charlie Cordray & Paul Cordray; Grandchildren, Jaden, Ethan & Naomi; Father -in-law, Bill Green; Mother-in-law, Donna Green; Sister-in-laws, Rami McTavish, Kathy Cordray & Jodie Cordray; Son-in-law, Andrew Melissinas; Best Friend, Rosetta Tarantino. She was preceded in death by: Son, William Dallas Green; Brother Jackie Lee Cordray Jr; Father, Jackie Lee Cordray Sr.
