He attended LSU, graduated from Loyola University School of Dentistry. He practiced dentistry in Baton Rouge, Louisiana from 1970 to 2013. He was a member of the 6th District Dental Association, and 6th District Peer Review Committee, Louisiana Dental Association, and American Dental Association. He was also Commissioner at the Louisiana War Memorial Museum. He enjoyed scuba diving, growing orchids, and working in his wood shop. He will be remembered for taking 30 years to build a replica of the battleship, USS Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kyle and Inez Kennedy. He is survived by his wife, Jane Williams Kennedy; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Norbert Courville; grandchild, AnnaClaire Courville; and brother, Larry Keith Kennedy.
