Homer and Thelma Ward Lock, he went on to serve in the Navy and after his Honorable Discharge he became a self-employed truck driver. John was a Devoted loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed fishing.
He preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years Dorothy Jean Lock and a son John F. Lock Jr.
John is survived by one son Steven Lock; three daughters Gloria Richardson and husband Jeff, Karen Hair and husband Scott and Michelle Lock; two sisters Earline Duncan and Shelia King; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 A.M. Wednesday May 15, 2019 at Bear Creek Assembly of God with Pastor Tony Teas officiating.
Interment will follow at Millville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Southerland Event Center in Lynn Haven, FL.
Ask to serve as pall bearers are Jeff Richardson, James Chambers, James Lock, John Paul Lock, Gerald Mansfield and Justin Swearington.
