Tony Gill, age 60, of Bardwell, passed away Friday, March 12, 2021 at his residence.

He was the owner of Mathis & Gill Farms in Bardwell. He had a love for farming that started at the early age of 16. Tony was a leading pioneer in the farming industry and spent many years mentoring young farmers and treating them as part of the family.

He was known for his love of speed. Anything that moved fast… Tony wanted to drive it! He enjoyed exploring the river bottoms in ATV's and running his boat on Kentucky Lake. He was a member of West Bardwell Hunt Club.

Tony is survived by his wife, Pam Mathis Gill of Bardwell; one daughter, Megan Gill Koch of Paducah; one son, Vince Gill of Chicago, Illinois; his mother, Norma Jean Cate of Cunningham; one sister, Janet Gray and husband, David of Louisville; one brother, Gary Gill and wife, Cindy of Bardwell. He is also survived by nine nephews, Matt Gill and wife, Andrea, Clint Gill and wife, Kacie, Cody Gill and wife, Natalie, Jonathan Gray, Jeremy Gray and wife, Jessica, Cye McIntyre, Cash McIntyre, Aaron Mathis and Ross Mathis.

He was preceded in death by his father Hazel Lee Gill.

Visitation for Tony Gill will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell.

Funeral services will be on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Rev. Jason Burnett officiating and burial in Burkley Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to Burkley Cemetery Fund, c/o Carolyn Sullivan, 121 CR 1050, Cunningham, KY, 42035.
