Dorothy M. Elliott, age 85, of Hodgenville, passed away Friday, March 12, 2021, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.

She was a charter member of LaRue Baptist Church in Hodgenville where she taught Sunday School until her health prevented it. She loved Elvis, enjoyed singing in the church choir and babysitting, being known as Mammaw to all she watched.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Elliott, Sr.; her mother, Amanda Sanders; her father, William Moore, Sr.; a brother, James Moore and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Henson.

She is survived by four children, Donna Wooden, Rusty (Ruby) Elliott, Eva Pease and Carl (Libby) Elliott; eight grandchildren, Jeremy Vance, Daniel Elliott, Christina Hobson, Kim Smallwood, Amanda Hawkins, Laura Smith, Jeff Elliott and Jennifer Hasty; a brother, Bobby (Mary) Moore; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her poodle, Harley and many friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Nathan Housley officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery.
