Funeral services for Mr. Larry Garrison Powell age 76 will be conducted Monday, March 15, 2021 at 2 P.M. in Willams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Barnes officiating. Interment will follow in Heritage Memorial Park by the Pond.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 1 P.M. until the funeral hour.
Mr. Powell was a native of McRae, GA and had made his home in Milledgeville for most of his life. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from the Georgia Forestry Commission.
Mr. Powell was predeceased by his parents, William Cosby Powell, Sr and Emma Louise Garrison Powell.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Herring Powell; daughters, Jennifer Powell Herring (John), Tracy Michelle Powell and Crystal Powell; sister, Elaine Miller (Peter) of Marietta; brothers, Cosby Powell of Milledgeville and Eddie Powell of Madison; grandchildren, Amber Powell Brown of Brunswick, J.R. Herring, Rylan Herring, Tucker Herring, Viola Herring, Ila Nelson and Caleb Nelson; great grandchildren, Aiden and Olivia Brown; nephew, Chad Powell and a number of other relatives.
