Son of the late George Alton Hornberger and Helen Wanda Bojaron Hornberger, he was a veteran of the United States Air Force (1959-1963). He was survived by his wife of 58 years, Angelina "Angie" Hornberger; sons, Phillip Hornberger (Mary) and Timothy Hornberger (Rebecca); three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth K. Hornberger (Anita); and an extended family of relatives and friends, In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene G. Hornberger. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
