Larry Douglas Rose of Lancaster, Texas passed away on March 9, 2021 at the age of 78. He was born on May 15, 1942 to Sterling and Johnnie (Ringwald) Rose in Antlers, Oklahoma. Larry graduated from South Eastern Oklahoma State University. He married Joan Cunningham on June 12, 1982 in Melissa, Texas. Larry retired after 37 years with the United States Department of Agriculture as a federal review officer and prior to that he was a high school English and French teacher. He was a voracious reader and ultimately loved being with his family.

Larry is survived by his son, Boyd Rose and wife, Joni of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; daughter, Miranda Rose Peña and husband, Candelario of Waco, Texas; grandchildren, Melissa Rose, Erin Rose, Madilyn Peña, Cason Peña, and Colton Peña; brother, Rusty Rose of Antlers, Oklahoma; sister, Joan Rix of San Bernardino, California; and numerous other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan Rose and sister, Geraldine Wilson.

A memorial graveside will be held at a later date at Ridgeview Memorial Park.
