Rebecca A. "Becky" Morton, 86, of Cumru Township, formerly of Center Valley and Bethlehem, PA, died peacefully Wednesday, March 3, 2021 in Penn State Health-St. Joseph Hospital. She was the wife of the late David C. Morton who passed away June 29, 2020. Born and raised in Johnstown, PA, Mrs. Morton was the daughter of the late Franklin and Mary (Gnagy) Schmutz.
She was graduated from Southmont High School in Johnstown in 1952. She was an LPN for the late Dr. Jonathan Tenzer, oral surgeon in Bethlehem. She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Wyomissing.
Mrs. Morton is survived by her sons Craig F. Wood, and his wife Lisa of Whitehall and David T. Wood, and his wife Nancy of Collegeville and granddaughters Samantha Wood, wife of Dr. Paul Koch, and Olivia Wood and great-granddaughter Hannah. In addition, she will be missed by her step-children Gretchen Morton of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; Gary Morton, and wife Gail of Stevensville, Michigan; Gregory Morton, and wife Jaimie of Woodridge, Illinois and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Morton was preceded in death by her son James D. Wood.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Woodland Cemetery, Coopersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Atonement Lutheran Church 5 Wyomissing Blvd., Wyomissing, PA 19610 in memory of Mrs. Rebecca A. Morton.
