Richard D. “Rich” “The Boss” Crosby Sr, 66, of Findlay, passed away at 4:27 am Wednesday March 10, 2021 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

He was born September 29, 1954 in Fostoria to the late Harry E. and Eleanor (Fertig) Crosby. He married Denise R. Tornow May 20, 1989 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Arcadia. They were happily married for 32 years and she survives in Findlay.

Also surviving are children, Angela (Anthony) Bryan, Harvard, Il., Renee (Chuck) Bateson, Wayne, Richard (Kelsey) Crosby Jr, Centerville and Nicholas Crosby, Findlay; grandchildren, Cody, Breanna and Owen Bryan, Dylan Young, Alyssa Bateson and Richard Crosby III; siblings, Jane (Lowell) Griffin, Alvada, Betty Armon, Fostoria, Kathy Simon, Walbridge, Tom (Peg) Crosby, Michigan, Harry Crosby, Henderson, NV, Helen Kleman, Columbus Grove and Clara (Bill) Renninger, South Carolina; mother and father in law, Mary and John Tornow, Port Clinton; and his dogs, Jasper and Snickers. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ellen Lowery; and brother, Jim Crosby.

Rich was a 1972 graduate of Fostoria High School. Pastimes include watching classic television such as Andy Griffith and Hogans Heros, reading Stephen King novels and watching horror movies with his dogs Jasper and Snickers. Anyone who knows Rich, knew he always had a love of food, his favorites being sweets and meats. He retired from Cooper Tire, Findlay in 2018 and enjoyed his retirement by swimming in the backyard while listening to rock and roll and visiting his children and grandchildren. He was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Browns Fan and enjoyed hosting summertime gatherings at his home but nothing was more important to him than his family.

Services are private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
