Kenneth G. Blackwell, Sr., on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the age of 99, joined again with his adorable wife, Dorothy Rihner Blackwell, son, Kenneth G. Blackwell, Jr., and daughter, Nancy Blackwell Remont.

He leaves behind a daughter, Jane B. Moga (Adrian); eight grandchildren, Kenneth Blackwell III, Kimberly Keel, David Moga (Oliver), Ellen Lorio (Joseph), Stephanie Moga, Aaron Remont (Andrea), Charlotte Lyons (Matthew), and Sarah Garbarino (Collin); and brother, Robert Blackwell. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Eva Stewart Blackwell, and siblings, Morris G. Blackwell, Jr., Mary Holliday, and Charles Blackwell.

Kenneth served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II, and was a lifelong member of the New Orleans Power Squadron. He received his MBA from Tulane University.

He was an avid fisherman. Kenneth was a true gentleman, and was the last of the Greatest Generation.
The family extends their gratitude to the staff and friends at Inspired Living Center in Kenner, for their care and compassion.

Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM.
