Macon, GA- Charles Wayne Wise, Sr. (Wayne) passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2021, following an extended illness.
Wayne was born August 16, 1947 in Roanoke, Virginia, but lived in Macon for most of his life. He was retired from Bell South Communications. Wayne loved music, and spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and always enjoyed attending games. He never met a stranger, always loved to talk, and leaves behind many fun stories that his friends and family will always remember.
The family cannot express enough gratitude for the wonderful care he received at PruittHealth Peake Health and Rehabilitation.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marcia Barnes Wise, father Alfred Quillian Wise (A.Q.), and his mother Katherine Ruth Tidwell Wise.
His family will cherish many fun memories of him. He is survived by his children; Charles Wayne Wise, Jr. (Shannon) of Athens; Chris Wise (Claudia) of Macon; and Wendy Smith (Troy) of Milledgeville; his brother Alfred Paul Wise of Seneca, SC; six grandchildren- Christopher, Samantha, Braxton, Tyler, Gavin, and Hayden; and three great-grandchildren- Daisy, Ivory, and Mary.
Services will be private.
