Duran attended Fair Haven Baptist Church and worked at MedMassager in Fletcher. He loved the time he spent with family. Duran was an avid reader and a freehand artist who liked drawing his own comics. He enjoyed playing video games and he collected classic comic books.
In addition to his parents surviving him are his four sisters, Brandy Ruff of Leicester, Candace Ruckert and husband Shane of PA, Christy Jones Owen and Latasha Jones both of Lake Toxaway; two brothers, Joe Chris Ruff and Maurice Jones, Jr. all of Hendersonville; eight nieces and six nephews; aunts and uncles, Kim and Scott Kelly, Brooke Mabry, Misty Ward, Amber Ward, Darrell Ward, Mark Ward and Chris Ward; cousins, Grady and Jesse Ward, Miranda Damon, Darren Ward, Deidra Drennen and Carrie Kuykendall.
A graveside service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at the John B. Owen Cemetery in Lake Toxaway.
