Sandra Kay Eisenhauer Gonzales was born September 6, 1940 at Fairbury, Nebraska to Edwin and Mildred Eisenhauer. She died January 3, 2021 at Victorville, California.
She was baptized September 29, 1940 by Rev. O. R. Heinitz and confirmed May 16, 1954 by Rev. A. L. Kohtz at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Daykin, Nebraska.
Sandra attended grade school at Bower Dist. 16 through the eighth grade and graduated from Fairbury High school in 1958. She attended Fairbury Junior College for two years and taught her first year at Osceola Public School. She then graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 1963 and accepted a teaching position in Merced, California, teaching first grade. She moved to Colton, California, and taught third and fourth grades at Grant School for 25 years, before retiring in 2003.
Sandra is survived by her sister, Aldene Goeking of Fairbury, NE, a niece and family Julie & Galen Roebke, Hannah and Nathan of Seward, NE, nephew and family Ed and Michelle Goeking, Liam and Tatum of Fairbury, NE and special friend Steve Emery of Helendale, CA.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Edwin and Mildred Eisenhauer; grandparents Philip and Sena Eisenhauer and Jacob and Kate Egbert; brother Dale Eisenhauer; sister Carol Eisenhauer; and brother-in-law Carl Goeking.
A memorial service will be March 21, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Fairbury, Nebraska. Memorials established to Family’s Choice.
