Ms. Janet Jenkins, age 78, of Lake City, FL went home to Heaven on March 11, 2021 at Haven Hospice, Lake City, FL. She was born April 17, 1942 to Mr. and Mrs. Woods of Jacksonville, FL. She enjoyed watching soap operas, spending time with family and friends and playing with her dogs. Ms. Jenkins was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Robbie Lee and Earnest “Bo” Deese, and one grandson, Ben Marsee (Deese). She is survived by two sisters and two brothers of Jacksonville, FL: significant other of 32 years, Richard “Wayne” Jones: two sons, Travis (Becky) Deese and Eric (Scarlett) Deese of Lake City, FL: two daughters, Lavon (Jr.) Deese and Pamela (Tony) Deese of High Springs, FL: five grandsons, Brian Deese, Stephan Kriechbaum, Christopher Deese, Edwin Deese, and Eric Deese: three granddaughters, Felicia Kriechbaum, Amy Bermudez and Lena Deese. Fourteen great grandchildren and numerous friends also survive. A graveside service to honor the life of Ms. Jenkins will be held at 11 A.M., Tuesday, March 16th in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Lake City, FL with Mr. Paul Moroue officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be held from 10 to 11 A.M. (one hour before services) at the cemetery. Guerry Funeral Home, 2659 S.W.
