He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served during World War II in Okinawa and China, earning the rank of Corporal. He worked for many years as a truck driver and was a member of the Teamsters Union. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outside, walking, working in the yard, tinkering, fishing, and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Anna Mae; his second wife, Rita; and his brothers and sisters.
Austin is survived by his four daughters, Maggie Little of Washington, Dona Little of California, Helene Rekieta and her husband, A.J., of Newcastle, and Jackie Little of California; one son, Richard Little and his wife, Kathy, of Newcastle; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Pauline Little of Oklahoma City; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 15, 2021, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City.
